How To Make Looking Glass Easter Eggs

Supplies Used:

  • Plastic Easter Eggs

Krylon Looking Glass Mirror Like Spray Paint

    Scissors

    Empty Egg Carton

With a pair of household scissors, cut the little plastic strip that holds the two halves of the plastic eggs together.  Cut as close as you can to the egg.

Use an empty egg carton to lay the egg halves on for painting.

Spray lightly with a thin coat of Krylon Looking Glass spray paint.  This paint dries very quickly.  In five minutes or so,  look for any spots that did not get covered, move the eggs around so you can spray that area more easily and give it a quick light spray.  I sprayed each area just once, and very lightly.

Note:  Don’t put on several coats unless you don’t want the color to show through.  Too many coats or heavy coats will turn the eggs silver and mirror like.   You can see on my finished eggs that the coverage is not exactly even, but I think that is what makes them more interesting.

You can add decorative ribbon or just leave them as they are like I did.  All that is left to do now is to decide how to display them!  Easy!
